I feel like I haven't done a lot in the past year, but I have gotten a few things done around this place.:
For starters I got a new roof. Would you believe that the original shingles were still on the house? And yes it was 3 layers. Can we say illegal? But it is now done.
I also got a few new windows (6 to be exact). I couldn't replace them all because I want to make some changes. I replaced the ones that I don't plan on moving. It has made a difference in comfort level, but I can't say that I see it in the heating bill, and I keep it a little on the fridged side.
There is also the massive amounts of wallpaper that have to be removed. In some places there are 3 layers, in other places it has been painted over. Let's just say I hate wall paper with a passion. And I have plenty more to keep me busy. I just hope that some of the walls are in decent shape so I don't need to tear them all down. Anyone have idea's on fixing plaster walls or tearing down and putting sheet rock up?
Next up is the bathroom. If I ever find my camera I'll show you a picture. I contacted the contractor tonight. I am hoping to start in April, but we will see.
